Strategic Fit: A New Architecture for Social Impact and Scientific Equity

Aouatef Khelloqi’s career has consistently been anchored at the intersection of social innovation, emerging technologies, and inclusive systems design—making her a natural strategic fit for OpenDeSci’s mission. As we scale a decentralized ecosystem for science, we’re not simply optimizing protocols—we’re redefining the way humanity funds, validates, and distributes knowledge. Aouatef brings rare expertise in building cross-sector alliances between philanthropic organizations, multilateral foundations, tech startups, and grassroots initiatives. Her work with the Obama Foundation—where she co-leads a global community of practice around social entrepreneurship and impact tech—exemplifies her ability to activate mission-aligned leaders around shared values and infrastructure. At RadicalxChange, she pioneered use cases for blockchain in equitable funding distribution and collective intelligence. Through her nonprofit Maroc Impact, she has directly supported educational and scientific initiatives in underserved regions, creating bottom-up frameworks for social entrepreneurship. Her hands-on experience advising DAOs, charity-backed innovation labs, and Web3-native funding experiments gives her a uniquely multidimensional lens on how to embed equity and access into decentralized systems. At OpenDeSci, Aouatef will shape our approach to scientific grant pools, impact-driven governance, and coalition-building across the education, philanthropy, and public research sectors. This partnership is a bridge—between code and community, between capital and care, between emerging tech and enduring impact.

“Aouatef represents multidisciplinary rigor—connecting capital, governance, and science in rare depth. Her role in our ecosystem is more than advisory; it’s co-creation.”

— David Wang, Founder of OpenDeSci

Aouatef adds:

“The future of science will be owned by those who build it—and fund it. OpenDeSci is rewriting who gets to create knowledge. I’m excited to support this mission with full conviction.”

Shared Incentives, Shared Impact

Aouatef joins OpenDeSci as a token-aligned ecosystem partner, gaining early governance entitlements and active roadmap integration. This ensures her work with us is incentive-aligned and mission-driven.

What’s Next

With Aouatef’s partnership, OpenDeSci is ready for its next chapter: launching decentralized research funding pools, designing tokenized knowledge sharing systems, and integrating AI-powered scientific collaboration. Together, we’re enabling a future where science is open, equitable, and co-owned.
